A bag of rough lepidolite is an easy way to add soft lilac and pink stone to a dish, a plant pot or a crystal grid.
Lepidolite is a lithium rich mica, and in the rough you can see the small flakes that give it a satiny sheen. These chunks are hand sized, roughly an inch and a half to a little under two inches, which makes them easy to share out as party favors, tuck into gift bags or spread across a few rooms. The photos show the pieces arranged on a flower of life dish, in hand and from the top next to a ruler. You get the whole bag pictured, not a random scoop, so the count and colors are exactly what you see. It is also a sensible way to try lepidolite before choosing a larger piece.
Pieces range from about 1.375 by 0.825 by 0.825 inches to about 1.75 by 1.375 by 1.25 inches.
Lepidolite is a lithium bearing mica, the most abundant lithium mineral on Earth. Its lilac to pink purple color comes from trace manganese. Like other micas it is soft, about 2.5 to 3 on the Mohs scale, and its fine mica flakes give polished lepidolite a satiny shimmer.
Stone Meaning: Lepidolite is traditionally associated with calm and transition.
