This rainbow fluorite slab shows layered bands of color across a natural freeform silhouette, thin enough for light to shine through.
Rainbow fluorite often mixes purple, green and clear bands in one piece, and slicing it thin turns those layers into a stained glass effect when you hold it to a window. It looks lovely on a small easel, in front of a lamp or as a decorative tray for rings. At about 6.5 inches long and a quarter inch thick, it is light and easy to display. It makes a thoughtful gift for a collector, an artist or anyone who loves colorful stones. This is the exact slab shown.
The slab is about 6.5 by 4.25 by 0.25 inches. Look at the back view photo to see the other side.
Fluorite is calcium fluoride, the mineral that defines hardness 4 on the Mohs scale. It is known for its range of colors, most often purple, green and yellow, frequently banded together, and many specimens glow blue violet under UV light.
Stone Meaning: Fluorite is traditionally associated with focus and clarity.
