Mexican Onyx Dinosaur Carving - Hand Carved Banded Stone, 7"

A seven inch dinosaur carved from striped Mexican onyx is a fun, unexpected piece for a bookshelf, desk or collection.

Display it in an office or den, add it to a collection of stone animals, or give it to an adult dinosaur fan, a paleontology student or anyone who enjoys playful decor. Every carving has its own stripes and colors.

Each dinosaur is roughly 7 by 3.5 by 2 inches and is individually hand carved, so size, shape and banding vary.

About Mexican Onyx

Mexican onyx is a trade name for banded carbonate stone, usually calcite, rather than true onyx, which is banded chalcedony. It is soft, so it scratches more easily than quartz.
