About Titanium Chalcedony

Chalcedony is microcrystalline silica, a form of quartz with a Mohs hardness of about 6 to 7. The metallic mystic, platinum and black diamond colors come from a micron-thin titanium film bonded to the stone in a vacuum chamber, so they last longest when protected from abrasion.
