Amethyst Stalactite Slices - Set of 5

Five amethyst stalactite slices of mixed sizes come in each set, so you get a range from tiny to medium in one order. Slices measure about 8 by 11 millimeters up to 41 by 32 millimeters, and a set weighs about 30 grams.

Each slice is a cross section showing the rings that formed as the stalactite grew. Wire wrap them, set them as cabochons, lay them in a crystal grid, or add them to a collection.

These slices are undrilled. Small imperfections are part of natural stalactites, and each set is unique in sizes and shades. The hand photo shows a typical set.

About Amethyst Stalactites

Amethyst stalactites form inside geodes in volcanic basalt and are well known from mines near Artigas, Uruguay. Slicing one shows banding of chalcedony and amethyst around the core, like tree rings.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
