WS12-S3
Turn this polished labradorite and watch flashes of color roll across its surface. The flat cut base lets it stand upright on its own, so it shows off that color without a stand.
Choose a weight from about 0.5 kilograms up to 5 kilograms; heavier pieces are larger, and some are tall and slim while others are wide and short. It is a statement piece for a mantel, bookshelf or office desk and a memorable gift for a collector. Place it where light can hit it to see the best flash.
Labradorite is a plagioclase feldspar with a Mohs hardness of 6 to 6.5. Its flashes of color, called labradorescence, come from light reflecting off thin internal layers, so the color shifts as you turn the stone. It is named for Labrador, Canada, where it was described in 1770.
Stone Meaning: Labradorite is traditionally associated with intuition and transformation.
