A large, polished piece of emerald makes a bold statement on a shelf, and these smooth freeforms show the milky green color of the gem in a substantial, hand filling size.
Display one on a desk or bookshelf, add it to a birthstone collection, or give it as a May birthday or anniversary gift. Some are long and flat, others round and full, so no two look quite alike.
Choose a weight from 200 to 300 grams up to 700 to 800 grams. These are opaque, included display stones rather than faceting grade emerald, and shape and color vary.
Emerald is the green variety of beryl, colored by chromium or vanadium. It has a hardness of about 7.5 to 8, though fractures reduce its toughness, and nearly all emeralds contain visible inclusions. It is the May birthstone.
Stone Meaning: Emerald is traditionally associated with love, hope and renewal.
