A polished tower shows rutilated quartz needles from every side, and few crystals have more going on inside.
You have two towers to choose from. Tower 1 is the taller and slimmer of the pair, with a sharper, more vertical outline that suits a narrow shelf or the corner of a desk. Tower 2 is shorter with a deeper, sturdier footprint, so it reads as solid and compact on a nightstand or meditation table. Turn either one in the light and the inclusions shift as you move. Both are faceted to a point and polished all around. Choose the one whose shape and needle pattern you like best. It is a good pick for a quartz collector, a new office, or a birthday gift for someone who already has the usual clear points.
Rutile is titanium dioxide, and its crystals often grow as long, thin needles. When quartz forms around them, the result is rutilated quartz, prized for its inclusions rather than in spite of them. The needles are usually golden but can look silver, red or black. Quartz itself is hard, about 7 on the Mohs scale, and takes a bright glassy polish.
Stone Meaning: Rutilated quartz is traditionally associated with clarity and intention.
