About Agate and Amethyst Druzy

Agate is a translucent, banded form of microcrystalline quartz, made as silica builds up in layers inside rock cavities. Druzy is a natural crust of tiny crystals that forms on the walls of such cavities, and amethyst druzy is that crust in purple quartz, colored by trace iron and natural radiation.
