There is always a moment of surprise when someone sees the inside of a geode. These halves pair a rough outer shell with polished agate bands and little caves of sparkling druzy.
Set one on a desk or bookshelf to catch the light, or give it to someone who loves nature, science or simply opening things up to see what is inside. Geodes make thoughtful gifts for graduations, birthdays and new homes.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Geode halves are about 3.6 to 5.25 inches long, 2.25 to 3.25 inches wide and 1.9 to 3.5 inches tall.
A geode is a hollow, roughly round rock lined with crystals or mineral bands. It forms as mineral rich groundwater slowly deposits layers inside a cavity, often agate around the walls and tiny quartz crystals in the center. Agate has a hardness of 7.
Stone Meaning: Agate is traditionally associated with balance and harmony.
