Polishing both sides of a fossil mako tooth brings out its smooth blade shape, and you choose the exact tooth from the photos.
Wire wrap it into a pendant, add it to a fossil collection, or give it to a shark fan, diver or beachcomber. Each tooth has slightly different color and proportions, so picking your own matters.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Each tooth weighs about 5 grams. Sizes are listed below by number.
Fossil mako teeth usually come from the extinct broad toothed mako, which lived from the Eocene through the Pleistocene. Minerals from the surrounding sediment replace the original tooth material, which is why fossil teeth are dark or tan.
