White to gray granite dotted with blue spots of azurite makes up this tumbled K2 stone, about 0.75 to 1.5 inches across.
Carry it as a pocket stone, add it to a crystal grid, tuck it into a planter or fairy garden, or use it in jewelry and craft projects. Choose 1 or 3.
Some stones also show small green stains of malachite. Each stone varies in shape, size and the number of blue spots; the coin photo shows the scale.
K2 stone is named for the mountain it comes from: it is found near the base of K2 in the Karakoram Range of northern Pakistan. It is granite whose blue spots formed when azurite stained the rock along grain boundaries and fractures.
Stone Meaning: K2 stone is traditionally associated with grounding and inner calm.
