Fill a bowl by the door, tuck one in your pocket or bag, build a crystal grid, or use them in jewelry and craft projects. A full pound gives you plenty to share with friends or divide into small gift bags.
These stones are natural black tourmaline from Brazil, tumbled smooth. They range from about half an inch to 1.5 inches, so each bag holds a mix of sizes.
Black tourmaline, or schorl, is the most common tourmaline. Hematite is an iron oxide known for its reddish streak.
