Deep royal blue with flecks of gold, lapis lazuli makes a small pyramid that looks rich beyond its size. Each one stands about 14 to 23 millimeters tall on a base of about 23 to 24 millimeters.
Set one on a desk or altar, use it as the focal point of a crystal grid, or add it to a chakra set. A pack of five is handy for grids, party favors and gift bags. Lapis has been prized for thousands of years as a gem and even ground into ultramarine pigment, so it brings a sense of history to any collection.
Lapis lazuli is a blue rock whose color comes from the mineral lazurite. White calcite veins and golden pyrite flecks are common. It has a Mohs hardness of about 5, and much commercial lapis is dyed and waxed to even out its color.
Stone Meaning: Lapis lazuli is traditionally associated with wisdom and truth.
