When the lights go down, a selenite lamp turns a white crystal tower into a soft source of light.
Each lamp is carved from selenite with a gray onyx base at the bottom, and it comes with a standard Type A plug for the USA. During the day it reads as a white crystal tower on gray stone; switched on, the light comes through the selenite and gives the room a gentle glow. Six lamps are available, each pictured on its own, ranging from about 14 to 15.5 inches tall and 7.75 to 9 inches wide at the widest point. Try one on a nightstand, a living room side table, a reading corner or an office shelf. Lamp 2, at about 14 inches, is the shortest, while lamps 1 and 4 are the tallest at about 15.5 inches. It is an easy gift for a housewarming. You choose the exact piece from the photos.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. The full list of sizes by number is below.
Selenite is a crystalline variety of gypsum, hydrous calcium sulfate, and it is very soft, about 2 on the Mohs scale. Much of what is sold as selenite is satin spar, the fibrous, silky variety of gypsum. True onyx is banded chalcedony, while much of the stone sold as onyx for decor is banded calcite, a softer stone.
Stone Meaning: Selenite is traditionally associated with clarity and peace.
