Two cupped hands, carved from white selenite, form this striking offering bowl. It measures about 8 by 6.125 by 2.25 inches and weighs about 1 kilogram.
Hold tumbled stones, crystal points or jewelry in it, place it at the center of an altar, or display it on its own as sculpture. It makes a meaningful gift for spiritual practitioners and crystal collectors. Selenite is soft and water sensitive, so keep it dry and set items in gently.
Selenite is a crystalline variety of gypsum, a hydrous calcium sulfate. With a Mohs hardness of only 2, it scratches easily and should be kept dry. Much of the silky white material sold as selenite is satin spar, the fibrous variety of gypsum.
Stone Meaning: Selenite is traditionally associated with cleansing and calm.
