Carved from a single block of white selenite and polished to a soft shine, this lidded jar holds small treasures in style. Choose 10 centimeters (about 4 inches tall, 3.25 inches across) or 15 centimeters (about 5.625 inches tall, 4.25 inches across).

Both sizes have a cavity about 2.75 inches wide, perfect for tumbled stones, rings, earrings or dry candies. It adds a clean, natural accent to a vanity, nightstand or altar and makes a thoughtful gift. Selenite is soft and water sensitive, so dust it with a dry cloth and keep it away from humid bathrooms and wet items.

About Selenite

Selenite is a crystalline variety of gypsum, a hydrous calcium sulfate. With a Mohs hardness of only 2, it scratches easily and should be kept dry. Much of the silky white material sold as selenite is satin spar, the fibrous variety of gypsum.

Stone Meaning: Selenite is traditionally associated with cleansing and calm.
