Polychrome jasper never repeats itself, so choosing between these three hearts is really choosing a pattern.
Heart A is the smallest, an easy pocket or gift box size. Heart B is a step up, slightly larger with the same slim profile. Heart C is the big one, broad and thicker, made for a shelf or a desk where the pattern can be seen. All three are polished smooth. They make a warm, earthy alternative to a pink heart for a Valentine's gift, a thank you or a get well gift.
Polychrome jasper, also sold as desert jasper, comes from the coastal deserts of northern Madagascar and was reportedly discovered in 2006. As with all jasper, it is an opaque, fine grained form of silica; iron supplies the reds and browns, mixed with tans, pinks and purples. It takes a good, durable polish.
Stone Meaning: Jasper is traditionally associated with steadiness and nurturing.
