Pink tourmaline crystals and rough blue aquamarine share these natural specimens, two gem minerals in one piece.
Add one to a mineral collection, display it on a shelf or in a cabinet, or give it to someone born in October or March, since pink tourmaline and aquamarine are those months' birthstones. Every specimen has a different balance of pink and blue.
Each lettered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Specimens are about 3.5 to 5 inches long, and each size is listed below.
Tourmaline is a large group of boron silicate minerals with a hardness of 7 to 7.5. Pink tourmaline usually belongs to elbaite, the lithium bearing species behind many colored tourmaline gems, and it is the birthstone for October. Aquamarine is the blue variety of beryl, colored by iron, with a hardness of 7.5 to 8, and it is the March birthstone.
Stone Meaning: Pink tourmaline is traditionally associated with love, and aquamarine with calm.
