Orange selenite has a soft, silky sheen that shows best when you tilt it in the light, and a puffy heart is an easy way to enjoy it.
The rounded shape fits comfortably in a palm, so it works as a pocket stone, a small Valentine's token or a place card weight at a dinner party. The warm orange reads cozy on a nightstand or tucked among plants. Every heart is cut from natural stone, so the shade, pattern and size vary slightly from the photo. Several together make a sweet set of thank you gifts for bridesmaids or coworkers.
Orange selenite is a variety of gypsum, a soft sulfate mineral. Much of what is sold as selenite, including orange material from Morocco, is technically satin spar, the fibrous variety of gypsum, which is what gives it a silky sheen. Pure gypsum is colorless, and trace impurities produce the orange.
Stone Meaning: Selenite is traditionally associated with clarity and calm.
