Ocean jasper comes from just one stretch of coast in northern Madagascar, where it can only be collected at low tide, and no two hearts share the same orbs and swirls.
These hearts are thick and smooth, so they feel substantial in the hand and stand nicely on a shelf. The natural orbs and swirls blend with almost any decor, and a heart from such an unusual place makes a thoughtful gift for a beach lover, a traveler or a friend who collects stones with stories. You choose the exact heart from the photos.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Heart 1 is about 3.5 by 3.25 by 1.25 inches, heart 2 about 3.25 by 3 by 1.825 inches, heart 3 about 3 by 2.5 by 1.25 inches, and heart 4 about 3 by 3 by 1.5 inches.
Ocean jasper is a silicified rhyolite known for round orbs or eyes in many colors. It is mined from a single coastal location on the Ambolobozo Peninsula of northern Madagascar, reached by boat and worked at low tide. Druzy pockets are common.
Stone Meaning: Ocean jasper is traditionally associated with patience and calm.
