Six inches of soft lavender amethyst, polished into one large sphere: this is a centerpiece that changes the feel of a whole room.
Light amethyst has a gentle, airy color that brightens rather than darkens a space, so it suits living rooms, bedrooms, spas and reception areas with white, gray or natural tones. A sphere this large shows the crystal's inner structure in depth, and it looks different in morning light than it does at night. For a collector it is a cornerstone piece; as a gift, it marks a wedding, a milestone anniversary or a new home. This is the exact sphere shown.
The sphere is about 6 inches in diameter. Look at the hand photos to get a feel for its size and weight.
About Amethyst
Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz. Its color comes from trace iron exposed to natural radiation, and it is the modern birthstone for February. Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia and Zambia are among the largest producers.
Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
Add a Sphere Stand
A sphere this size deserves a sturdy base that keeps it steady and shows it off. Browse our crystal sphere stands and holders and choose a metal or brass style sized for its diameter, or a carved wood stand for a warmer look.
