Chevron amethyst gets its name from the V-shaped bands of purple and white quartz that run through it. These large tumbled pieces from Brazil are polished smooth, which makes the banding easy to see and nice to hold.

At 1 to 3 inches, they are big enough to be a palm stone or the centerpiece of a crystal grid, and a few of them look good together in a bowl. Choose 3 or 5 if you want to compare patterns or share them as gifts.
