This blue fluorite cluster is still set on its matrix, so it reads as a true mineral specimen.
It comes from China and spans about 4 inches, with blue fluorite crystals sitting on natural host rock rather than broken free as a loose crystal. At 335 grams it is the largest of these blue fluorite pieces, and the matrix gives it a base for display on a shelf, a desk or inside a cabinet. Fluorite in blue is far less familiar than purple or green, so it brings something different to a collection. You will receive this exact cluster on matrix.
Its size is about 3 by 4 by 1.5 inches, with a weight of about 335 grams. Scale is shown in the ruler photo.
Fluorite is calcium fluoride, the mineral that defines hardness 4 on the Mohs scale. It is best known in purple, green and yellow, but it also occurs in blue and colorless forms. It splits cleanly along four cleavage directions, and many specimens glow blue violet under UV light.
Stone Meaning: Fluorite is traditionally associated with focus and clarity.
