Greet everyone who walks into your office or entryway with a wall of purple crystal rising from a stand.
This amethyst portal is a large cathedral style geode section, about 21 inches tall and a generous 7 inches deep, so the crystal lined hollow has real depth when you look into it. It sits on a stand that keeps it upright on a credenza, a sideboard or the floor beside a bookshelf. The extra depth gives it a fuller, more three dimensional look than a thin slice, and it reads well from across a room as a collection piece or office centerpiece. If you are wondering whether it suits a smaller room, the footprint is about 11 by 7 inches, so it fits on most sturdy furniture. It makes a memorable gift for a February birthday, a new office or a business opening. This is the exact portal shown.
The portal is about 21 by 11 by 7 inches. The photos show it alone on white and styled with decor for scale.
About Amethyst Cathedrals
An amethyst cathedral is a tall section of a geode, cut so it stands upright with its crystal lined hollow facing out. Amethyst is purple quartz colored by trace iron and natural radiation, and large amethyst geodes are mined mainly in Brazil and Uruguay.
Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
