Pale yellow Mexican onyx, carved into a low, wide base, makes a calm and natural stand for crystal spheres and geodes.
Rest a sphere, egg or small geode in it on a shelf or desk, or tuck a small air plant or succulent cutting inside. The neutral color sits well with almost any stone, so it works as a base for a whole collection.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Holders are about 4.5 to 4.625 by 3.25 to 3.5 inches and 1.125 inches thick, weighing 585 to 650 grams.
The stone sold as Mexican onyx is banded calcite, not true onyx, which is a form of chalcedony. Calcite is calcium carbonate with a hardness of 3, so it carves easily but scratches more readily than quartz.
Stone Meaning: Mexican onyx is traditionally associated with calm and clarity.
