Soft, earthy greens are easy to live with, and pistachio opal's brown flecks look lovely on a desk, beside plants or on a nightstand.
Each one is hand cut and polished into a heart. The smaller size fits a pocket or palm, while the larger ones make a solid centerpiece for a shelf or altar. Green is a natural fit for St. Patrick's Day, a new home, a promotion or a friend who loves the outdoors. Because every heart is cut from natural stone, the shade and markings are different each time.
Choose 100 to 200 grams, 200 to 300 grams or 300 to 400 grams. Some hearts are small but thick, others tall but thin. Little natural cracks or marks are part of the stone.
Opal is hydrous silicon dioxide, a mineraloid rather than a crystal. Most opal, like this green variety, is common opal, which shows soft color rather than the flashing play of color seen in precious opal. It has a hardness of about 5 to 6.
Stone Meaning: Green opal is traditionally associated with renewal and calm.
