Slim enough to tuck onto a crowded shelf, this polished agate heart still shows off a generous patch of druzy.
The thinner profile is useful: it leans against a frame, sits upright on a small easel, or lies on an altar without taking over the space. The photos show it upright on a clear acrylic stand, which turns the druzy toward the room. It suits a first crystal gift, a meditation corner, or a crafter who wants a showy centerpiece for a shadow box.
Agate is a translucent, banded form of microcrystalline quartz, built up layer by layer as groundwater deposits silica inside a rock cavity. Larger agates are cut with circular diamond saws and then polished on wheels of progressively finer grit. The name goes back to the River Achates in Sicily, which Theophrastus and Pliny the Elder linked to the stone.
Stone Meaning: Agate is traditionally associated with balance and stability.
