Semi polished grape agate eggs give you both: smooth curves and the raw, bubbly clusters of tiny purple spheres that give the stone its name.
Each egg sits comfortably in the palm and looks lovely on a small stand on a desk or altar. Grape agate is a relatively new find with an unusual color and form, and an egg is a thoughtful gift for spring, Easter or a new beginning. You choose the exact egg from the photos.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Egg 1 is about 2.5 by 1.75 by 1.75 inches, egg 2 about 2.5 by 2 by 2 inches, and egg 3 about 2.5 by 2 by 1.5 inches.
Grape agate is botryoidal, or grape like, chalcedony, more precisely amethystine botryoidal chalcedony. It comes from the Manakarra area of Sulawesi, Indonesia, and is a relatively new find. Despite the name it is not true agate, because it lacks banding.
Stone Meaning: Grape agate is traditionally associated with calm and spiritual growth.
