A skull in sleek, metallic gray hematite makes a bold focal bead for statement necklaces. It measures about 21 by 16 millimeters and is top drilled, so it hangs upright as a pendant.

About Hematite

Hematite is iron oxide and polishes to a silver-gray to black metallic luster. It is very dense for its size, with a Mohs hardness of 5 to 6.5. Much magnetic hematite on the market is a man-made material.
