Yellow Titanium Druzy Cabochon - Oval 16mm x 12mm

This oval druzy cabochon, about 16 by 12 millimeters, has a bright yellow titanium finish over tiny sparkling crystals.

It fits standard 16 by 12 millimeter oval settings for rings and pendants, and works well as a focal stone in wire wrapped or bezel jewelry. Wholesale quantities and custom shapes are available on request.

The bright color comes from a thin titanium coating bonded to the crystals, so keep the stone away from abrasives, perfume and harsh cleaners, and clean it with a soft, dry brush. Each stone varies slightly in shade and texture; the side photo shows the thickness.

Druzy is a coating of tiny crystals on a stone surface. Titanium and mystic colors are added by vapor deposition, a metal film only a micron or two thick, which creates the metallic shimmer. Because it is a surface coating, it lasts longest when protected from rubbing and scratches.
