Set against blue aquamarine, rich pink tourmaline makes each of these three specimens a natural study in contrast.
Choose the compact 3.5 inch piece for a desk, or the 6 inch specimen for a display cabinet, or give one to a collector or someone born in October or March. Each shows a different arrangement of pink crystals.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Specimens are about 3.5 to 6 inches long, and each size is listed below.
Pink tourmaline usually belongs to elbaite, a lithium bearing tourmaline with a hardness of 7 to 7.5, and it is the October birthstone. Aquamarine is the blue variety of beryl, colored by iron, with a hardness of 7.5 to 8, and it is the March birthstone.
Stone Meaning: Pink tourmaline is traditionally associated with love, and aquamarine with calm.
