Rich pink tourmaline crystals rise from a blue aquamarine matrix in these specimens, a natural pairing of two gem minerals.
Give one a place in a mineral cabinet or on a bookshelf, or present it to someone born in October or March. Each specimen shows a different balance of pink crystal and blue matrix.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Specimens are about 4.5 to 6.5 inches long and weigh about 1.18 to 1.65 kilograms, with sizes listed below.
Pink tourmaline usually belongs to elbaite, a lithium bearing tourmaline with a hardness of 7 to 7.5, and it is the October birthstone. Aquamarine is the blue variety of beryl, colored by iron, with a hardness of 7.5 to 8, and it is the March birthstone.
Stone Meaning: Pink tourmaline is traditionally associated with love, and aquamarine with calm.
