Tourmalinated Quartz Beads - 6mm Round Strand

Fine black tourmaline needles streak through clear quartz in these polished round beads, sometimes called black rutilated quartz. Each bead is about 6 to 7 millimeters, with 63 to 68 beads on a 15 inch strand.

One strand gives you plenty of beads for bracelets or a necklace. The black and clear pattern pairs well with silver, onyx and hematite for modern, minimal designs. Every bead has its own pattern of inclusions.

About Tourmalinated Quartz

Tourmalinated quartz is clear quartz containing needle-like crystals of black tourmaline, also called schorl. Quartz has a Mohs hardness of 7, so these beads hold up well in everyday jewelry.
