Thick, blocky and heavy, these raw Mexican onyx stones show cream, honey and amber banding.
Use one as a doorstop, bookend or rustic accent on a hearth or shelf, or as raw material for a carving project. Their height and weight make them stable and substantial wherever they sit.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Stones are about 5 to 7.75 inches long and 5 to 6.625 inches tall, with sizes listed below.
The stone sold as Mexican onyx is banded calcite, not true onyx, which is a form of chalcedony. Calcite is calcium carbonate with a hardness of 3, so it carves easily but scratches more readily than quartz.
Stone Meaning: Mexican onyx is traditionally associated with calm and clarity.
