These raw Mexican onyx stones show bands of cream, honey, amber and earthy tones, left unpolished to show the rock as it came from the ground.
Use one as a rustic accent on a bookshelf or mantel, as a natural doorstop or bookend, or as raw material for a carving project. Each stone has its own banding pattern and shape.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Stones are about 5.5 to 7 inches long and 3.825 to 4.5 inches tall, with sizes listed below.
The stone sold as Mexican onyx is banded calcite, not true onyx, which is a form of chalcedony. Calcite is calcium carbonate with a hardness of 3, so it carves easily but scratches more readily than quartz.
Stone Meaning: Mexican onyx is traditionally associated with calm and clarity.
