These Mexican hemimorphite specimens carry sparkling, colorless bladed crystals on one side and a velvety red brown to black matrix on the other.
Place one on a windowsill or in a lit display case, where natural light brings out the shine, or give it to a mineral collector. These small specimens fit easily into a collection drawer or display case.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Clusters are about 1.75 to 2.5 inches across, and each size is listed below.
Hemimorphite is a zinc silicate and an ore of zinc. Its name refers to hemimorphic crystals, whose two ends have different shapes. It has a hardness of 4.5 to 5. Mimetite, a lead arsenate mineral, often forms alongside it in oxidized ore deposits.
Stone Meaning: Hemimorphite is traditionally associated with calm and self expression.
