Lemurian quartz is a trade name for quartz first marketed from Serra do Cabral, Minas Gerais, Brazil, in the late 1990s, known for horizontal growth lines on its crystal faces. Like all quartz it has a Mohs hardness of 7 and takes a brilliant, glassy polish.
