This is the bigger, chunkier cousin of our small orange calcite pieces: one hand-sized piece of raw orange calcite about 2 to 2.75 inches long, with the bright, waxy glow the stone is known for.

It has enough presence to sit on its own on a desk, windowsill or altar, and it looks especially warm in sunlight. Crafters can also break it into smaller pieces for jewelry. If you would like a larger or smaller piece, leave a note at checkout and we will try to match it from stock.

About Calcite

Calcite is calcium carbonate, rated 3 on the Mohs scale. It breaks along three perfect cleavage planes into rhomb-shaped fragments, which is why raw calcite often has flat, angled faces. It comes in many colors, and orange calcite owes its tone to trace impurities.

Stone Meaning: Orange calcite is traditionally associated with creativity, energy and confidence.
