Each pair of these gemstone crystal earrings features genuine stones with clear, luminous color, measuring about 1.5 by 1 inch.

Choose heat treated citrine, smoky quartz, green chalcedony, amethyst or green quartz. They are easy to wear every day, fun for festivals, and a thoughtful gift matched to a birthstone or favorite color.

The citrine is heat treated, as most citrine is, and green quartz is usually heat treated or irradiated quartz. Quartz and chalcedony are durable, rated 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale. Remove the earrings before swimming and store each pair separately. Each stone varies slightly in color.

About the Stones

Citrine, smoky quartz, amethyst and green quartz are all varieties of quartz, rated 7 on the Mohs scale. Most citrine is heat treated amethyst, and green quartz, also called prasiolite, is usually made by heating amethyst. Chalcedony is microcrystalline quartz.
