Soft natural green chrysoprase, shaped into an organic free form and center drilled, makes a bold focal bead. Each piece measures about 38 by 25 millimeters to 52 by 49 millimeters, with its own shape and pattern.
Use it as the centerpiece of a necklace, a pendant on cord, or a statement piece in beaded and macrame designs. The minty green pairs beautifully with gold, wood and neutral beads. Store finished jewelry out of strong sunlight to protect the color. Because each bead is free formed, no two designs will look exactly alike.
Chrysoprase is a translucent green chalcedony that usually gets its color from traces of nickel. The finest material comes from Queensland, Australia, and stones of even color are hard to find. Prolonged sunlight or heat can fade its color.
Stone Meaning: Chrysoprase is traditionally associated with compassion and renewal.
How is it drilled? Through the center.
Will the color fade? Prolonged sun or heat can fade chrysoprase.
What gives it the green color? Traces of nickel.
