Amethyst with Jasper Semi Polished Slab on Metal Stand - 25 x 16.5 In

Two stones share this slab: purple amethyst crystals and earthy jasper, finished semi polished and set on a metal stand.

Semi polished means some surfaces are smoothed while others stay natural, so you get smooth faces next to the raw crystal texture. The opaque jasper frames the purple crystal in a way you do not see on an all amethyst piece. At 25 inches on its long side, it suits a hotel lobby, a reception desk, a fireplace hearth or a gallery pedestal. Because it comes on a metal stand, you can place it as soon as it is unpacked. A February birthday, a new office or a housewarming would all suit it. This is the exact slab shown.

About 25 by 16.5 by 8.5 inches.

About Amethyst and Jasper

Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, colored by trace iron exposed to natural radiation, and it is the modern birthstone for February. Jasper is an opaque, fine grained variety of silica whose red and brown tones come from iron. In Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and neighboring Artigas, Uruguay, amethyst forms in large geodes within volcanic rock.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
