Carved Gemstone Body Sculpture - Silver Sheen Obsidian or Moss Agate

Silver sheen obsidian or moss agate, carved by hand into the human form, becomes a sculpture that celebrates both the body and the stone.

Choose the female or male figure in silver sheen obsidian, with its soft silvery shimmer, or the male figure in moss agate, with green, moss like inclusions. Display it on a bookshelf, dresser or desk as a piece of art, or give it to someone who appreciates figurative sculpture.

Each carving is one of a kind. The female obsidian figure is about 6.5 by 3 by 2 inches, the male obsidian about 6 by 2.5 by 2 inches, and the male moss agate about 6 by 3 by 2.5 inches.

About the Stones

Obsidian is natural volcanic glass that forms when lava cools too quickly to crystallize; silver sheen comes from light reflecting off tiny inclusions. Moss agate is chalcedony with green mineral filaments that look like moss, though they are not plant matter.

Stone Meaning: Silver sheen obsidian is traditionally associated with insight, and moss agate with growth.
