Crystal Quartz Buddha Carving with Rainbows - One of a Kind, 3.25 Inch

Tilt this crystal quartz Buddha toward a window and you will catch several rainbows inside the stone.

The figure is carved from clear quartz, and natural rainbows within the crystal flash into view as the light changes, so it looks a little different through the day. At about 3.25 inches tall it is a small, peaceful figure for a desk, a bookshelf, a meditation corner, a home altar or a windowsill. Its compact size also makes it easy to give: it suits a housewarming, a new job, a retirement or a friend who practices meditation. Quartz is hard and holds a glassy polish, so the carving keeps its detail. This is the exact Buddha shown.

The Buddha is about 2 by 2.5 by 3.25 inches.

About Rainbows in Quartz

Clear quartz is silicon dioxide and takes a brilliant glassy polish. The rainbows inside some pieces come from iridescent fractures, internal breaks whose faces are separated by a gap about as wide as a wavelength of light. Light reflecting off both sides of that gap interferes and shows color that shifts as you tilt the stone, the same thin film effect that colors an oil slick.

Stone Meaning: Clear quartz is traditionally associated with clarity and focus.
