Gigantic Tourmalinated Quartz Sphere - One of a Kind, 6 Inch

Ever wanted to see what happens when quartz grows around black tourmaline? This gigantic sphere shows it in full, with dark needles crossing clear and milky quartz.

For a collector, it is a highlight; as a gift, it marks a major occasion such as a new home, a retirement or a business opening. This is the exact sphere shown.

The sphere is about 6 by 6 by 6 inches. Check the hand and measurement photos for scale.

About Tourmalinated Quartz

Tourmalinated quartz is quartz that grew around needles and rods of black tourmaline, the variety called schorl. It is a close cousin of rutilated quartz, which holds golden rutile needles instead, and the inclusions are what make every piece different. Both minerals are hard, and quartz takes a bright glassy polish.

Stone Meaning: Black tourmaline in quartz is traditionally associated with grounding and clarity.
