Titanium Aura Amethyst Point on Stand - One of a Kind, 6 Inch #2

Titanium coating turns amethyst into a shifting display of color. This one of a kind piece was given a titanium finish, then drilled and placed on a stand so it displays hands free.

The coating shows mostly magenta, yellow and blue hues, and the colors shift as you walk past, which is why aura pieces work so well as statement decor on a desk, a bookshelf or a nightstand. To be clear about the treatment, the iridescent color is a thin titanium film applied to amethyst, not the stone's own color. Because it is already mounted, there is nothing to set up: place it and it stands upright. At about 6 inches, it is a comfortable size for a February birthday gift, a housewarming or a new office. This is the exact piece shown.

The piece is about 6 by 4 by 2.5 inches, and the photo shows it on its stand.

About Titanium and Aura Finishes

Titanium, aura and mystic finishes are made by vapor deposition: a metal film only a micron or two thick is bonded to the stone in a vacuum chamber. The thin film bends light into its iridescent color, and because it sits on the surface it lasts longest when protected from abrasion.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
