Amethyst Semi Polished Crystal Bowl - Brazilian Amethyst, 8 x 7 Inch

An amethyst bowl brings natural purple crystal to a coffee table, an entry console or an office shelf in a form that is easy to place.

This bowl is carved from Brazilian amethyst and semi polished, so the outer surface keeps some natural texture while the stone's purple color shows through. It works as a centerpiece on its own or as a dish for small tumbled stones or keys on a sideboard. At about 8 by 7 inches, it is large enough to notice from across a room without crowding a table, and the ruler photo shows the scale. February birthdays are a natural fit, since amethyst is the February birthstone, and it also suits a housewarming or a new office. Amethyst is quartz, so it is hard and durable for display. This is the exact amethyst bowl shown.

The bowl is about 8 by 7 by 4 inches.

About Amethyst

Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz. Its color comes from trace iron exposed to natural radiation, and it is the modern birthstone for February. Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia and Zambia are among the largest producers.
