Amethyst Crystal Cut Base Cluster - One of a Kind, 5.5 Inch

Tight shelf space is no problem for this amethyst cut base cluster, which brings real geode crystal to a bookshelf or nightstand without taking over.

This piece comes from an amethyst geode that was sawn flat underneath, so it rests securely with the crystals facing forward. At about 5.5 inches long and a slim 2.25 inches deep, it fits narrow ledges, window frames and the space between books, and the home setting photo shows how it looks on display. A cut base is a simple way to start an amethyst collection or add another texture to an existing one. Amethyst is the February birthstone, so it works well as a February birthday gift, a thank you or a new office present. This is the exact cut base shown.

The cut base is about 5.5 by 3 by 2.25 inches. Look at the in hand photo for scale.

About Amethyst Cut Bases

A cut base is a piece of an amethyst geode that has been sawn flat on the bottom so it stands upright on its own. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, colored by trace iron exposed to natural radiation, and it is the modern birthstone for February. Most amethyst geodes come from Brazil and Uruguay.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
