Amethyst Semi Polished Geode Crystal Cut Base - One of a Kind, 5.25 In

Amethyst also comes in quieter colors, and this semi polished geode cut base shows hues of lilac, white and gray.

A softer palette than deep purple amethyst, these lilac and gray hues blend easily with neutral, Scandinavian or coastal decor, and the white adds brightness to the crystal face. The semi polished outside gives it a finished edge, while the flat cut base keeps it standing on a shelf, a desk or a bathroom counter. At about 5.25 inches long and slim, it fits narrow spaces and pairs well with plants and candles. It makes a gentle gift for a February birthday or for someone who prefers pale colors to bold ones. This is the exact cut base shown.

The cut base is about 5.25 by 2.5 by 1.75 inches. Look at the in hand photo for scale.

About Amethyst Cut Bases

A cut base is a piece of an amethyst geode that has been sawn flat on the bottom so it stands upright on its own. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, colored by trace iron exposed to natural radiation, and it is the modern birthstone for February. Most amethyst geodes come from Brazil and Uruguay.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
