Amethyst Crystal Portal Cathedral on Stand - One of a Kind, 17 Inch #2

Think big: this amethyst portal on its stand is a centerpiece in its own right, made to be seen from across a room.

It is a section of an amethyst geode framed around an opening, held upright on a stand so the purple crystal interior faces out into the room. At about 17 inches tall and 10 inches wide, it has the scale to stand alone on an entry table, a sideboard, a reception counter or a large bookshelf. The white background photo shows the full outline and the room photo shows it styled. Amethyst is quartz, so it is hard and durable for long term display, and as the February birthstone it suits a milestone birthday, a grand opening or a housewarming. This is the exact amethyst portal and stand shown.

The portal is about 17 by 10 by 6 inches.

About Amethyst Cathedrals

An amethyst cathedral is a tall section of a geode, cut so it stands upright with its crystal lined hollow facing out. Amethyst is purple quartz colored by trace iron and natural radiation, and large amethyst geodes are mined mainly in Brazil and Uruguay.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
